Timbre and time
Do different timbres used in music affect how we perceive time? Help us know more about this possibility by joining this online study. All it takes is about 30 minutes of listening to music and answering a few questions. Perhaps a quiet moment for you lunch break?

What music do robots like? πΆ
β¨I've no idea, but Iβm running a short study on how humans perceive robot and human singing voices. It takes just 10 minutes for you to help us study how voices make us engage with music and perceive time.

2025βs balance
2 βοΈ for conferences = + 4 tons CO2.
15 baby π³ planted = - 300 kg CO2/year, when they become adults.
So, 2025βs π³ will only compensate these flights by +- 2045, if they survive.
How is your math going?
I guess we either need more trees, or to stick to online conferences.

Thanks to #Ceis20, last week I attended to the #ICMPC at SΓ£o Paulo. There, I was glad to present and coordinate a Music and Time symposium, listen to several talks with a lot of diversity in topics and inspiring keynotes. After that, there was time to visit family and immerse in local culture.

Back to Portugal after being at RITMO, at the sysmus conference, where I probably broke a personal record of condensed information, by presenting about 3 years of research in 10 minutes. After that, I got to enjoy listening and learning from a lot of interesting people. Thank you all!

How do consciousness states and time perception vary during musical improvisation? These questions took us to PortaJazz, where a dozen of musicians let us peak into their creative states. Our thanks to all musicians and the PortaJazz collective who hosted this experiment.
