This is an odd framing. Trump's own history says that stroking his ego is the only way to get him to do anything. Remember the stimulus checks that were delayed so his signature could be on them? This reads the same way to me. Trump initiated this ban and likely demanded this to stop it 🙄

To believe TikTok contains an overabundance of ignorant or socially disengaged Americans is to fall for some of the very propaganda you seem to despise.

TikTok is at present the most left leaning social media app. It’s been holding the right (and the left) accountable for years.

This is the tired take of someone who still sees TT as “the dance app” for kids. Since 2021, I and many politically engaged users have consistently learned about local, national, and global events days or sometimes months before the mainstream media caught on and organized for before our peers.

I’ve felt this from the moment the election was called (too soon in my opinion) and the Dems just bent over and took it. I don’t get it.

I understand.

There is still such a huge asterisk on his win for me though. I don’t know how people aren’t investigating election interference from Elon in the US considering his interference in Germany and France.
