first of all, how dare you be a safe and conscious driver

I made 3 rock/metal "mixes" and in each of them I'm still not happy with how the guitars, bass, and drums sound.

the problem is, every genre shift requires a lot of time just going through all the sounds in my library and trying to sandbox which ones actually work together. As fun and exciting as it is, it's equally as daunting to look at the blank page and potentially find nothing.

Long-term I want to create lyrical songs with overt anti-capitalist hopecore hooks and messages that could become club bangers. I want people to belt out my hooks the way white people belt out mr. brightside. But I also want to create the feeling I get from the DanDaDan opening's key shift / chorus.

I'm at an impasse in music production. for 5+ years i had no inspiration / willpower to learn production tools. Last two months I broke through the mental block and started making rock/metal music. But long-term that's not the niche I want to stay in. (1)
