I’ve been BEGGING for so long to deprecate that service discovery crap and move to a proper reverse proxy. I hope we finally do after begging even longer for a dockerized backend environment.

I go to the frontend repos, change the target URL’s to an available node (the node discovery happens at the main node) and deploy.
Back to green 🟢
Why did they not call? I don’t mind being interrupted if it’s EVERYTHING at play. I get it, I’m a “parse and print” engineer but I can still be useful 🤷

I just saved the day at my job.
The main node of backend crashed or some shit. Everybody starts getting time-outs. The backend team starts working on it but I’m in my dev environment focused so I don’t notice.

They are still working on it.
I look at Slack and see everything exploding.

Yesterday I had a startup idea from a dumb thought I had, but the more I think about and explore it, the greater it fuels me to do so.

It literally hits all of my green flags. I think I’ll head down for the next few weeks.

Unpopular opinion about cars:
People who disable Star&Stop just because are either ignorant or simply dumb.

It does not break your car, it does not break your battery. The starter motor and battery are designed for that.

On the bright side, It's brilliant tool for learning, I couldn't find courses to learn backend more in-depth that kept my attention span.

But I found out that making a small project and asking questions (agent mode banned) is the best way for me to enter a new field.

I understand the value AI gives, I use it at work because it's stupid not to. But I gotta say it slowly drained my excitement and joy developing software.

The things I'm most proud of and had the most impact on 2025 have been things I've done totally on my own.

And I'm a bit sad for that.

Ayer fui a la psicóloga y todo genial con las ideas claras. Hoy vuelvo a estar hecho un puto lío, con un agobio y ansiedad brutales.

En el curro estábamos rediseñando la app, porque tenía muchos problemas.
Llevaba 6 meses de curro, y cogía una pinta guapa.

El CEO dice que no le gusta una mierda y rediseña siguiendo las guidelines antiguas rotas.

El resto genial. Pero estoy desmotivado y cuando trabajo en la app me da asco...
