The MAGA faithful do not comprehend dependency on govt services. They believe the myth of self-sufficiency. That is, until those services are no longer available and then - holy hell do they complain about inadequate govt!! The answer is not cutting services; instead, raise taxes on the wealthy.

Remove and replace the entire Trump administration. Remove MAGA from all levels of government. Most important, remove the oligarch's power - the billionaires who control the media, control the government, and control the economy - with wealth and income taxes.

I suggest, to borrow your phrase, there is not a “way to ‘greed’ our way out of this” either. When societies have periods of great wealth inequality, they either adapt to improve the condition of the people, or they risk instability, collapse, or revolt. I believe it is better to chose the former.
