More people need to reconnect and learn from #Indigenous people (but do not take from us, and do not demand for our labour)

I implore you to do that work about yourself, and reconnect to your own cultural practices. Itโ€™s hard work but it is work that must be done. Along the way youโ€™ll find others, and trust me when I say they will be family

Across the pacific our war cries tells stories of resistance, camaraderie, gods, creation and so much more. These practices keep our culture alive, our community alive. We know who we are and where we are from

I also feel like non-Maori people need to name what they are feeling, because itโ€™s definitely a craving for connection and community. Itโ€™s also a sign to reconnect to your own ancestors.

The haka is an indicator of continued resistance, of an unbroken line back to ancestors.

Anyways, these colonisers either being shook or super annoyed, have to go. From our own Prime Minister laughing with the King when Lidia Thorpe yelled out "NOT MY KING" to the white folks in parliament in Aotearoa being visibly uncomfortable and annoyed at Maori asserting their sovereignty by

Remember to also support the Indigenous people whose land you occupy. This must be first and foremost when you are on stolen land. For all our liberations are tied

What Iโ€™ve learnt in the last 24 hours is that some ppl truly donโ€™t know what community is. Indigenous ppl are a unit, not individuals. Weโ€™re a collective, a community

When someone sings, chants or does the haka, you join in. This is how we keep our culture alive, this is how we move in this world

Good Morning to all the whanau who will continue marching, chanting & riding for eachother; and to these two, Mariameno & Hana-Rawhiti. What a good day to wake up and be Indigenous.
