I've never been totally sold on Farke but we would have more points on the board if the club had given him what he asked for up front. It's not his fault they let us go into the season without a premier league front line.

Aaronson and Harrison are the reason we are desperate for better quality there, both poor players at this level. We saw yesterday that our fears about the forward options were justified because we are simply not good enough there. We lost to the favourites for relegation and that doesn't bode well!

For the first two seasons he banged on about a number 10 endlessly but you're right on this occasion he wanted better quality options than he had at his disposal. Seeing Aaronson and Harrison starting explains exactly why.

On this I agree. DCL has definitely given us more up front in terms of presence and winning the ball but what he doesn't offer is clinical finishing, Nmecha is much the same and while Piroe can finish I don't think he's up to this level. The attacking recruitment is why we will likely go back down.

We know Ampadu can do a job there if needed and I'd rather have seen the Bornauw money put to better use given the limited funds we had.

And Harrison offers zero in a creative sense, it's mind blowing to me that he ends up starting matches.

Getting rid of Ramazani is justified if you bring in another attacking option, but they didn't and that's the main criticism for me. Would Ramazani have made a difference yesterday? I have no idea but I'd rather have him than no one.

Totally agree and this is something Farke has been asking for since he arrived. Criticism of Farke's limitations is fine but when you don't supply him with the tools he asks for then I'm afraid the finger of blame needs pointing elsewhere.

Once again it exposes our recruitment strategy. Bornauw was a completely pointless signing and waste of those resources.

Getting rid of Ramazani and not replacing him is a big own goal, although I do think Farke has to take responsibility for this one.

Stach needs dropping, he was way off it today and not for the first time. I agree Bijol will come in and possibly James although he isn't match fit and hasn't been great when he has played this season. Desperately need Okafor back asap.

Not just a finisher, theres zero creativity in that front line, and once again Farke didn't get the number 10 he has for since joining the club.

I knew it was gonna be this way today. Concede the first goal to a defensive minded team and we are fucked. We had a couple of chances but our forwards are absolutely shocking at putting chances away. After a spirited start to the season I think we got a reality check today. Sunderland however....

Okafor has been bright and has been a good outlet, not sure we will have that today.

I think it is a hard game given how they've performed so far and our best wingers all out isn't going to help.

With Okafor out I don't fancy our chances at all tbh. No Gnonto or James either, not good.
