Aw that's a shame it didn't work for you but I can totally understand why! I tried reading it years ago and couldn't connect with it fully but I started it again last summer and was enamored! I've yet to read anything else by him but I have another on my shelf I want to get to this year

I was thinking that modern readers & viewers have come to expect Great Twists in media and if they don't get it they get irritated. But one of the things I thought the latest Nosferatu did well was that it was obvious, to Harker & us, that he was walking into a nightmare and Dracula was a Bad Dude.
