Apparently all my coworkers thought I was just super focused yesterday because I had my noise cancelling headphones on, wasn’t talking, and just stayed at my desk when in reality I had a migraine but am too scared to take my triptan at work and was trying to survive till 5pm 😂

Apparently my team was the only one in our entire agency to not take a single cut in the RIFs yesterday and I cannot even describe the survivors guilt I’m feeling right now.

And on the first day of return to office, the conductor on my train home keeps talking about how we’re at “crush load” and how we’ll “make it work” to he’ll get as many people on as possible.

Almost like forcing everyone back to the office isn’t worth it.

I don’t WANT to watch the joint address, but considering this Admin likes to make statements and announcement about what they’re doing to Feds in the most random way, I’d like to know what I’m walking into tomorrow. 🙃

Parks and Rec is easily my favorite show and I see a lot of myself in Leslie, but I just finished another rewatch and Leslie's speech at the very end of the last episode absolutely broke me in these current times

I already knew I was crazy, but tonight alone I’ve decided to fast track my law school application process and get them in for Fall 2025, then had a shower thought of how to start my personal statement, and promptly got out of the shower and wrote an entire 2.5 page statement in my notes app 😅

I’m usually fine going to stuff alone but there’s something real depressing about going to an arena concert alone 😅😅

I absolutely hate that I’m having to start looking at other jobs just in case because the current admin could fire me from my dream job in a moment’s notice for no reason 😭

If anyone in DC has leads on any health policy/gov affairs/legislative/lobbying jobs pls let me know 🫶
