Text: JR JESS Creaden. Question 1: What is your mentorship style? What can Mentees expect from working with you? Answer: My style varies a lot depending on each project and author, but generally I can be expected to offer clear guidance wrapped in understanding and warmth. No one starts out knowing everything, and there's always more for every artist to uncover about their process and self. My mentee should expect encouragement and support in diving deep.

I've published my own books, published as a cooperative, co-authored, and have an industry background in development, design, and marketing... so we'll have lots of conversations about how to move your vision forward. ❤️

As for what you can expect working with me: an intensive first look and revision letter for your story, check-ins to see how you're holding up, tools and tips for any areas you're struggling with, marketing or query strategies, etc.

I'm also happy to accommodate for any disabilities or specialized needs the author may have. I'm someone who suffers from seizures, so I understand the need for crash days, writing stalls, etc.

This stretches from how we communicate (and how often) to the vision for their manuscript and whether they're targeting an agent, a publisher, or bringing their story straight to their readers.

I like to tailor things to support where my mentee is at, how they work, and their vision moving forward. I'm fairly fluid in my style and want to ensure that each mentee gets the support they need in the way that works for them.
