Since JourneyMon is now fully funded (!) and approaching our first stretch goal, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the folks who have put a ton of effort into making the game as great as it can be! I swear I didn't plan it, but everyone showcases here is queer too 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️, so that's fun!

Hey, you know how you're always saying "Jonny, why isn't there a good TTRPG about collecting and battling adorable monsters?"
Well, some good friends of ours had the same thought, and they decided to so something about it!

My actual favourite RPG to run is now up on kickstarter. If you like any sort of monster training games, then fill your boots - I've been lucky enough to have been intermittently testing this for a year or two, and I've never seen it done better.

Human halfling/orc goblin/etc are the interesting ones. I could see the "little guy" addition to certain teams going either way

Yeah, big guys are a core part of the game, and they've aleays been done separately.

I think the snotlings are gone for UW; with swarming they were busted, without they feel like an afterthought. Seems like a patch because UW was so bad in bb2016, but they went too hard with runners and snots

Underworld is also (in theory) in danger - I'd put money on them losing snotlings, since the current box is just half a sprue each of the skaven/goblin boxes.

Due to staff shortages, wizards are developing bad backs.

I spent a few hours over the weekend clearing up my emails; deleted about 15k messages, unsubscribed from newsletters I'm not using, etc. Real nice stuff, makes my email way more usable, and clears up a bunch of space

except now I open my inbox every morning and get sad nobody wants to email me :(

anyway the important thing is that Pyre is still the top Supergiant game and remains one of the best of all time

there's even some lampshading from the Olympians at the end asking you, "wait, are we doing this? okay I guess" and boy does that bug me

pushed myself to finish off Hades 2 last night and it's amazing how much they levelled up every part of making their games except for having a story that makes any sense

FYI - you can get:
- Firefox
- uBlock origin extension

...on an android, at least. They've done their best to add friction to using it in a browser that way, but it works. And allows you to close the screen while listening if e.g. doing laundry

Yup. In a reverse of most years, the AA-AAA games I've played this year have all been like a decade old, and the indie games are all brand new

I just want weird fantasy/sci-fi and every time I find one (scavengers reign, dark crystal, dirk gently, hell, even kaos) it's gone before I can finish a season.

I find myself looking for intentionally single season shows now, cause I know they'll actually finish
