Been seeing this graphic floating around, and it strikes me more as a result of the Pep-ification of football more than anything else. But hey, Arsenal keeping the flame alive by having a MF as top passer…

But if by β€œat this point” you meant now then yes hahah. But I read it as if this was a permanent thing that we would never be able to rely on him anymore. 😱

Yeah but that’s now. Hopefully that was the last niggle 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻

No, he’s back from a year out, 2 serious injuries, his niggles now are totally expected sadly. I hope he can start doing 60 to 90 soon tho! 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻

Oh

Me too, But it’s the way the other teams set up. Even Bruges did it. Way too open and punished. Those that game included some screamers from distance too but we had so many chances. It was refreshing!
Inter game was great. Tight and lots of back and forth between both goals.

In Europe we’ve had a lot more fun without the low blocks 🀩

03.03.2026 13:50 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah but in the summer. You can’t change rules now.

03.03.2026 13:49 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I miss Wengerball but I’ve also been waiting 22 years for a title. And Wengerball would be impossible now vs low blocks. I do hope PL can become more free flowing but not sure how at all. If anything I expect more interruptions and flow breakers in future 😬

03.03.2026 13:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That is mental indeed lol. I go home and away and I can tell you most Arsenal fans don’t enjoy the play this season. It was a lot more fun when we were surprise package in 22-23. Now teams set up for us like they do for City and Liverpool. Mostly only our cup games have been fun this season!

03.03.2026 13:47 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I wasn’t sure on handball because of the rule with under the sleeve or whatever. The grappling yes but as it goes both ways it’s hard to give for refs (Rice for sure the one fouling there but there were other fouls the other way,inc on Keeper before ball got to Rice)Anyway they scored 30sec later.

03.03.2026 13:46 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

And as an Arsenal fan,I read for decades that we were too soft, tippy tappy but then bullied by Stoke,by Bolton before etc etc.I like they can stand up to it.It always evolves but as long as most teams set up defensively, top teams will need to use whatever they can to unlock them.Don’t want NFL tho

03.03.2026 13:43 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Haha. I think the villain is what Slot was also complaining about. The PL defender level and overall league level is so so high, when you face 2 lines of 5 all game, it’s really hard to score. I’m happy (and neutrals too) if a set piece can unlock the game. I prefer free flowing football!

03.03.2026 13:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Pieces to win games where teams literally park the bus is not cheating it’s just smart. All the press is showing is images of Rice holding Chelsea player (that was VERY close to handball, let alone the foul) but on 2 Arsenal goals, most of our players are being held with 2 hands by Chelsea.Just look

03.03.2026 13:37 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yes that is true but then there would be a foul for every single corner. And that will never happen. That was my first point. And I’d happily take pens too! I’m not sure how they will solve it but the discourse is ludicrous. Stoke were great at this 2 decades ago already! Taking advantage of set

03.03.2026 13:37 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No, Brentford have been doing it for years. We copied them if anything. And they are also great at it. Nicolas Jover was there before. Chelsea are great at corners too (again for me the delivery is the key here, perfect balls in). Liverpool have scored many too.

03.03.2026 13:33 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Gabriel was very lucky to get a foul when pushed by Muani who then had his second goal disallowed for Spurs. If that is given then as I said previously, there’s 10 worse ones on each corner of any team. I was a ref, yes these are all fouls per the book, but all PL teams commit them. Just watch.

03.03.2026 13:31 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Look at the goal Arsenal conceded at Brentford. There was a foul there too, on the long throw. Check my timeline, I didn’t complain about it. And I can see when Arsenal do wrong or are lucky. It’s possible to be a fan and still use your brain. Which is what Daily Cannon was saying. I’ll also say

03.03.2026 13:31 β€” πŸ‘ 9    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s not true at all. One can be a hardcore fan and still understand bias. All i’m saying is that what is happening is not Arsenal specific. Chelsea did it as much as Arsenal on Sunday and also scored from a corner. Even Raya was held and no foul given. You’re just posting based on media discourse

03.03.2026 13:27 β€” πŸ‘ 9    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Now because both players are holding on to each other roughly as much, the refs let it go. If it was judged like anywhere else on the pitch there would be a penalty or attacking foul for every single corner. Attacking foul was frequent but not sure thy want 8 pens a game.

03.03.2026 13:21 β€” πŸ‘ 10    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

🀣🀣🀣🀣 if you watch games, you’ll realise the only difference is that Arsenal is better at it and the key is the delivery. The grappling happens for all corners and all teams. I don’t like it at all but it’s not Arsenal specific at all. What used to happen was straight fouls to defender, never pens.

03.03.2026 13:21 β€” πŸ‘ 19    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

It’s bullshit but re Israel, I don’t think they really give any shit about optics with all the war crimes they have been committing themselves…

We all remember Wenger making over half a billion loss in one season, singing a gazilllion players on 10-year (!) contracts, leaving 350k a week players with the reserves, etc etc. Make sense πŸ™ƒ

Anyone noticed when a slow and low ball came towards LinkedIn Liam today and he bottled trying to control it? He just bent down to catch it with his hands 🀣🀣🀣

The Invincibles ballsed up the Monaco-Porto route to the Champions League, so let’s not get too giddy. But yes, it is a friendly draw for us.

That’s luck. We could also have been in their spot total. It was 1st OR 2nd
