I started Beastars on a whim Saturday. Binged it until the last 2 eps of S2 (just watched those) brrrrruuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Because it’s an even more poignant reminder that he’s gone. That all of it will soon be gone for good, the place that’s always been the center of my life for the 35 years I’ve been on this rotating hell rock. But it’s great that a very special piece of that place is here now, and that’s priceless.

But he insisted it stays there until he dies, and it did. And he did. It would’ve still fit in my old place, but it was so over-cluttered already, I’m glad I moved across the hall and now have an actual living room it can go in. And now it’s here. I want to be happy, but I’m sad af too.

My grandpa put it up and wouldn’t put it back in the living room for a few years after my grandma passed. He was pretty extra about it, even though he knew it was my grandma and I’s chair and it meant a lot to me. It was funny to rile him up about it 😂 esp when I finally got my own place.

Going underneath it until I do, because it does get my sciatica mad at times. This chair is so special to me, I’ll do whatever to get it back in good shape. My mom can think it’s dumb all she wants. I’m glad my aunt didn’t care about it, but I think by now everyone knows I’d throw hands over it.

They were supposed to redo the cushion (which was getting sad) when they did the reupholstering, but they didn’t, and since then my ass has flattened it. There’s at least enough left over fabric that I can have a new cushion made for now. I’m gonna have to get foam pieces for-

This was not a good fabric choice for a piece of furniture (and I picked it out so, my bad lmao) it hasn’t held up well at all. My grandma would’ve been displeased (it was finished right before they started remodeling the house and she passed. So she didn’t get to sit in it much after it was-

Unfortunately the chair is an ungodly level of dusty and musty, so when my check hits tomorrow I’m ordering vacuum attachments and a fabric/carpet cleaner to properly clean it so I don’t unleash a whole ass dust cloud trying to sit in it. And it’s needed a deeper cleaning where I spilled tea on it.

seeing my grandparent’s house ever again. Which still makes me want to weep and then die. But at least my mom and aunt are moving like snails so, next month when the flowers are out I’ll definitely enjoy taking it in.

I was in such a hurry bc we had to take stuff to the storage unit too that I didn’t snap a pic then, but it’s wild my chair is actually here at last 😭 and my plan to get it up here was beyond flawless (way easier than expected). Very happy but also sad bc it’s one step closer to never-
