3000 days of Japanese today, and I still only have a basic grasp of the language structure and a few words. It didn't even teach me a new word this month. AI ruined it...
Now that I've hit the milestone, I'm switching to Human Japanese, unless people have other recommendations?
Yes it is! I also had the eyepatch in my pocket, but opted not to use it lest people get confused (Big Boss has one, but Solid Snake doesn't; the joke here being that I'd be cosplaying as Snake's "dad", which would be a fitting costume in this case, albeit not obvious to the average person).

The trick to recognising me is fairly simple: I'm always wearing a three piece suit.
Here's a ref if it helps (I'm the fellow on the right). I'll be wearing the same suit (probably under a black coat) tomorrow, but with a red shirt.

It's a great system, with some wonderfully written adventures and a level of character options that 5e simply can't hold a candle to, but fair warning it is dense and very front loaded with it's complexity. It can very easily be overwhelming if you aren't prepared for it.

Been playing Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time lately (just had the tiefling celebration at camp), and I can see why it earned all the accolades it did. It's a fantastic game.
Though I'll admit, it's not quite scratching my itch for an actual TTRPG. My yearning remains...
I don't really want to talk about it, but so as not to leave room for speculation: my mom has been going through chemo, and today that kinda hit me hard.

Indeed, such is life.
When I first started to break into the games industry, I had to force myself to network constantly. It was not comfortable in the slightest, but in the long run that practice proved invaluable for my career path.
Real growth takes genuine effort, but it's worth it.
Just some introvert insight posting while laying awake in bed at 5:12am.

As an adult I've realised that while I'm a good listener, I suck at asking questions, and that's largely because as a kid I got used to more talkative people readily volunteering information to me.
It's a muscle I never properly developed, and that's what makes small talk hard.
