I didn't realize it at the time, but Keep Flying 🚀 was definitely written with several hopepunk elements (as the title sorta implies, lol). The alt-history setting was always designed with the concept that players were fighting for a better world, and the mechanics are very reliant on cooperation.

I'm almost surprised they haven't ever added them to the American junk food section for you to try, lol

Oh yes! Puncturing that foil lid was such a great health hazard in those days! If you were very unfortunate, you'd easily dislodge a piece to flow right up into your mouth! 😅

Otoh, it was literally impossible to simply peel back the lid without spilling it all over yourself.

When I was a kid, they were very popular, especially if you could not afford other drinks. They were very inexpensive, so often purchased in bulk as treats for kids. But they were not particularly healthy, basically just sugar. I believe they have modernized them to be less sugary today 😅

Yeah, pretty sure they are. You can just see it on the top labels in this image. I don't know if that's a "recent" (to me at least) re-branding, but I don't ever remember calling them that as a kid.

We called 'em "juice barrels" (and make no mistake... there was no juice in them, just sugar, water, and color 😂)
