It's worth noting that there's a helpful study happening just across the eastern border here in Massachusetts where we have actually raised even more than anticipated revenue from our Fair Share constitutional amendment and the wealthy are not flocking away (also please use alt text!)

We know that the Massachusetts exodus that Healey and Baker warned about in regards to the FSA has only happened to families who can no longer afford to live here, not the wealthy who are being asked to pay a little closer to their fair share- which they have, raising historic revenue.

This whole clip is worth watching and it's worth noting that we've run these numbers, the wealthy are not leaving NYC (or Massachusetts) for lower taxes because they want the amenities that taxes provide. As my Senator says, it's the working people that are chased out when life becomes unaffordable.
