I finally got a very simple one and our stove and air fryer died on the same day and it was clutch in preparing one pot meals for a few days.

I was really looking forward to it! And then life, and then it slipped off my radar. So thank you for the reminder!

One like 10 year old kid skated directly into me and apologized and before I could say "don't worry about it" he had just bounced off me on to the ground. I mean, I was definitely at least twice his size, but definitely that would have at least knocked my balance in the past (he was fine!) (2/2)

New core strength achievement unlocked tonight. Took two tweens roller skating tonight on a terrifyingly packed rink. It was like playing frogger but you're the truck and you can't hit any frogs/tiny children dropping without notice all around you. And I won. No falls at all, total control (1/2)

So my diabetic, neurodivergent, and notoriously picky eater kid has agreed (enthusiastically!) to try adding "hidden veggies" to her favorite tomato sauce that she uses mostly for tortilla based pizza. I'm thinking carrots, zucchini, and spinach. Any prep tips? I have to use jar sauce.

This is what abolitionists are talking about when we point to the frameworks of criminality themselves being used to make us ALL less free. Lots of people think that *they* don't do anything wrong, so they'll be fine. Wrong is a moving frame by design.

I do feel like people forget all the time that February and March are still the winter. Like I think there's a weird memory hole that people feel some sort of relief when we get through December without a lot of snow.

Especially for those of us that are not sending our kids back to school after a 9 day break in a winter that they've already been home 1-3 extra days many weeks. My ADHD is breaking with the routine disruptions. It is what it is, but I'm tired.

It's not surprise. It's exhaustion. And we're all out of practice. I don't think we've had a snow year like this since like 2015. It's definitely been a tame last few winters. It's true though, that often times it's February and March that see the most.

I can't even express how important it is to see someone who was willing to give up the thing she was best at, that some would say she was born to do. To only come back when she could love it again, and do it on her own terms. And then win a gold medal BECAUSE she found the joy and the fun in it.

An ICE agent shot and killed Ruben Ray Martinez, a US citizen and San Antonio resident, in March 2025. Then ICE and the Texas Department of Public Safety covered it up. He was 23 years old. I am calling for a full investigation into this shooting, including why there was an 8-month cover up.
