Today after a very challenging year, hundreds of hunger relief leaders, partners and advocates are gathering at the 2nd Annual Make Hunger History Summit to understand the current state of hunger in Minnesota and explore ways to find more collaborative, lasting solutions.

To get a clearer picture of hunger in Minnesota, we developed the Food Security Scale, which describes four stops along the way from hunger to full food security

As we aim to Make Hunger History and cut hunger in half for all Minnesotans by 2030, our Statewide Hunger Study revealed that 1 in 5 Minnesotans don’t have the food they need to thrive. This study also showed us that we have to change the way we think about hunger.
