These ICE agents in Chicagoland are exactly the kind of people who go door to door and massacre thousands of families like we saw in Rwanda or we are seeing still now in Gaza. There is no limit to the violence they will perpetrate when provided an opportunity.

Let's hope this holds for Chicago too, but, regardless, the fact remains that we cannot put our hope for defeating fascism in the courts. The Supreme Court has made clear that it is siding with fascism, and it's only a matter of time until law is bent to Trump's will.

These are fascists. They should be arrested and prosecuted for assault. Nothing about this is legal. Nothing about this is defensible.

This is outrageous.
For so much of the world, including for many, many American Jews, Israel has completely and forever lost its credibility.
Not only does the genocide need to end, but Netanyahu and others need to face human rights prosecution and the apartheid must be abolished.

Wrote an essay this weekend from Chicago with Black Hawk helicopters flying overhead night and day and where my friends, patients, elected representatives, and neighbors are being assaulted in their homes, in hospitals, and on the streets by federal agents acting with total disregard for law.

The CHAAD Project
By The CHAAD Project
My friends at The CHAAD Project are ecstatic that a certain well-known abolitionist organizer donated today. I encourage you to do the same. They're doing important work organizing restaurant, bar, and hotel workers in Chicago against abuse by both their employers and ICE.

When Senator Wyden stated he’d heard from thousands of doctors and scientists concerned by RFK Jr’s policies, Kennedy responded "I'll put my mailbag against your mailbag any day.” Let's prove Kennedy ...
Are you a healthcare worker or scientist (or know someone who is)? #RFKJr is bragging that he has your support. Time to let Congress know HCWs and scientists do NOT support this man. Take a few minutes to send in a postcard. @defendpublichealth.bsky.social www.defendpublichealth.org/campaign/hel...

Many have been sounding the alarm about the rise of the anti-science movement as fascist-eugenics revival, especially since the pandemic. But bipartisan normalization of ignoring scientific consensus in favor of political expediency means we now have a much bigger fight on our hands.

Trump’s troops in Portland will very likely target unhoused people in the city first, deploying violence against encampments. Defend your neighbors, including and especially your most vulnerable neighbors living in tents, struggling with addiction, etc. This where it starts.

What Is Political Violence? - Boston Review
Pundits and politicians conceal the truth: it’s all around us, perpetrated by our political system itself.
Trump is ordering US soldiers to occupy my “war-ravaged” hometown of Portland, “authorizing them to use full force” against “antifa” (ie, anyone he doesn’t like) to stop “political violence.” As I explain here, the whole thing is premised on fascist myths.

There’s no mooring anymore to reality. They just lie constantly about everything.
Like, even 10 years ago, the idea that a cabinet member would accuse the other party of supporting terrorists would be unfathomable.
This is like the John Birch Society as an administration. Just completely insane.
