Appalling!

trying to be more active on not-x this year despite the horrors, but I always feel like I've got nothing cool to share, so idk. What kinds of stuff should I update about? What do you want to see?

It’s just nice to see that, despite what AI is wrecking about my life and plans and the planet. It’s nice to get little updates from people like that. I’ve always been here, it’s do art or I don’t want to be alive. But it’s nice that other people are starting to feel the same way.

What AI has and should teach us all; If the world will settle for half-cooked, mostly stolen, disease ridden, water ecosystem destroying slop then your art that you make with your own two hands will always and forever be more than enough. You are worth more than any learning algorithm copy.

I now get to hear about how someone picked up doing dumb little daily doodles or crochet or building miniature dioramas or repainting dolls because the people who always had art inside them were always around but they thought they weren’t good enough

I get that it’s a bad situation all around but I can’t remember the last time when I told people close to me that art was the thing I wanted to do forever and its that important to me and life as a human being as a whole— and instead of looking at me like I’m silly for caring,

I think the best thing to cime out of the mass adoption of AI and the subsequent tanking of social safety nets has been how quickly so many people in my close life who thought themselves ‘washed up’ or ‘incapable’ of art and creation have picked the pencil back up.

Been sick for idk a week, n somehow sick me is more productive than healthy me?? I have painstakingly cleaned and scraped old screen, masked out intricate design I had to hand paint the mask for, then printed 25 tote bags in a fever haze. Sick me loves drone work, sick me can’t pronounce capitalism
