Golden eagles were reintroduced to Ireland, but without prey they’re now struggling to thrive Rewilding isn’t just about reintroducing predators. Without prey and habitat restoration, even wild-looking landscapes can’t support them.

I used to study golden eagles, and I love these magnificent birds. A world that can sustain a healthy population of golden eagles is a world that is healthy in many other ways.
