I like Calibri too, but prefer Calibri Light, I think, overall.

I type quite fast but I can't touch type so I make quite a few mistakes, mostly involving U, I or O. For that reason, I tend to pre-type everything I post online in Word which can be corrected before copying/pasting into whatever I’m doing.

Like everything, the occasion has become monetised and people's "fun" as well as the money shops make from selling these horrible things are more important than anything else.

I hate the endless indiscriminate noise that goes on for hours although I’m not afraid of them & my cat takes no notice. So many pets & wildlife are terrified though. Was hoping for a downpour but all that's happened are radio stations putting on animal calming shows, marketing the terror.

Also, I meant to say I like the ‘smell’ of books not the ‘small’. I once worked in a physics research library where we had shelves of the Proceedings of the Royal Society going back to the 1600s, Newton’s era - they smelled great as well as having beautiful bindings!

And a book-less house, in addition to looking weird, is unprotected from evil. According to your and your dad’s map, I live in the land of evil wizards, so protection is very important.

Me too. I like the look of them as well as the small, and bookless houses look funny.

Five and a half years ago I moved from the BMW graveyard to Evil Wizards so I’d say I’m relatively happy, wizards, even evil ones, surely being better than a scrap yard!

If I'd taken notes as I read EWSY I'd have noted these e.g.s of a lovely turn of phrase (“the meat tree” & people wiping the words with a soft cloth before they left their mouth)... the book was full of joyous phrases like this. But I didn’t take notes as I didn’t want to interrupt the reading flow.

Perhaps Victor was typical of his time in that he exploited his creation, in the way "freaks" or more accurately, people with differences and disabilities, were pointed at and put on show for the rubber-necking public.
