I already swapped in a Z80, it isn't that. this made me check the unit again and I've just realized that probing pins 6-8 on ICs 11 and 12 causes a reset or a freeze. I'm wondering if maybe IC13 (attached to both) could be at fault?

hell yeah. it's a lot of fun! Just the right balance of hardcore and accommodating

I have a System 32 here that has no audio and the audio RAM always tests as GOOD, even when removed.....wish I could absolutely rule out the custom as good with an oscilloscope before dumping more time into it

I don't know how exactly to put it into words but I am very much appreciating the mingling of "hardcore" and "approachable" that Marathon is putting forward. I like a video game that is advertised with "don't be such a baby, Brian" tweets but also I can comfortably jump in and play a few rounds

....just now realized ARC Raiders is a play on the title of Raiders of the Lost Ark. as a lifelong Indiana Jones fan this is maybe slightly embarrassing

apparently I have "sweaty mentality" even though I do not have enough time to get Profoundly Good at any one video game. anyway I'm enjoying Marathon even though I have never once wanted to Escape from Tarkov or Raid ARCs
