Friday evenings are hectic. I snuck a quick coat in at lunch; of note mixing the intense black express with mahogany express produced and express paint perfect for the dark wood on this model. I am fear that this model is going to be as unpleasant as the marsh crawler.

The value sketching was really tedious here. I think the dry (Aircon) air meant that the drybrush dried out too fast ... or maybe the bulb/opus style brushes aren't great compared to the chisel/citadel ones - using the latter seemed easier tonight

The tower of the Fortified Mansion of the Empire. The stones and details are not yet painted, but the walls have a nice plaster effect/colour.

Slow progress, but progress nonetheless. Will paint the foundation and corner stones this weekend and just see how far I can get.
But I'm happy with how the plaster walls turned out!

Did the washers and the ropes. I highlighted the ropes and washed the metal. I missed some spots with both but feel like I should accept it and move on 😶 still need to do all the bones and nails, eyes, decided what to do with the bases and fill in the ferns and rocks ...

I was doom scrolling really fast and thought "That's an amazing solution to the problem I've been struggling with!" without stopping ... but ... now I can't remember the solution or the problem I was having.

... Ohh! I have learned how to use Hospitalier Black here so I guess that's one step closer to painting my 2000 Emperor's Champion ...
