Spent last week in Maysville, KY with mountainworkshops.org and it was encouraging. Met a lot of great folks, got to see wonderful people again, ate good food at local restaurants, and took some photos. Thanks to Brett Phelps (now of Mirror Indy) for the photo of me.

Delighted by my friend Derek's use of the binary pixel mode on the Kodak Charmera, as soon as I saw it was an option in the creative mode in my Nikon Zf I decided to enable it.

Delighted to report that I took an in-store pre-order for the Charmera today from a customer who was not yet in our point of sale.

Just described the Olympus OM-1 as my Ride or Die to a customer. It's going with me to Billings, Powell, and Tetons this weekend. I've been carrying the Zf so much...but I really do have a lot more capability in the OM-1, 12-40 2.8, 17, 40-150 2.8, and 60 macro.

The ruined Ploutonion (temple to Pluto) at Hierapolis.

One of the world’s most chilling ruins is the Ploutonion at Hierapolis, otherwise known as “the Gate to Hell”.

Here crowds once watched priests lead animal sacrifices down into a cave, where they died mysteriously as if dragged down to the underworld. And no one knew how they did it until recently.

In Missouri today for the JDay program on Mizzou’s campus.

I’ll be presenting three breakout sessions & visiting with student journalists and sponsors from high schools in the region.

Driving home tonight, it’ll be a long day but a good one.

We have work to do - but we got this!
