In 2021, Tim Denson was one of the County Commissioners to pass legislation making the second Monday of October, Indidenous People's Day!

Trump and his ignorant outlook may try to change it to Columbus Day, but it will remain Indigenous People's day in Athens, Georgia!

They're voting on the fire station #5 replacement, drumroll please....

It passes 6-3. Commissioners Davenport, Fisher and Johnson voted no. Thornton is absent.

Thank God reason prevails. Interesting vote from one of the mayoral candidates, though. 👀
