This week we have been marking Baby Loss Awareness Week, a time for bereaved parents, families, and friends to commemorate babies' lives, and to raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss.

At 7pm tonight (15 October), people across the world will join a global wave of light by lighting a candle.

As the colder months approach, we're working hard with our health and social care partners across Oxfordshire to prepare for and respond to the growing pressures that winter brings.

Here at OUH, families are invited to display commemorative messages on trees of remembrance. These trees offer bereaved parents the opportunity to honour their baby in a simple, quiet way, and will effectively 'grow' as leaves are added.

9 - 15 October is Baby Loss Awareness Week 💙

The annual awareness week, now in its 23rd year, is an opportunity for bereaved parents, families, and friends to commemorate babies' lives, and to raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss.

Our staff at Horton General Hospital now have access to the newly refurbished Westway and Magnolia accommodation.

Delivered in two phases, this £130,000 Trust project has significantly improved the quality, safety, and comfort of our key worker housing.

Please feel reassured that using paracetamol in line with NHS advice is safe.

Public health agencies and autism charities agree there is no evidence that paracetamol causes autism, and existing guidance remains unchanged.

Patients receiving endoscopy treatment at the Horton General Hospital can remain confident of exceptional care following the department’s full accreditation by the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (JAG) – a prestigious national recognition of excellence.

The event brought together our maternity staff, families, and communities to champion safer care for neonates and children, marking this year’s theme ‘Safe care for every newborn and every child.’
