No one really wants to see a fertility doctor
Worried we'll find something wrong
Worried we won't
Worried we'll push IVF or a treatment you don't want
Worried will add to the shame society already heaps on those with infertility

What is one self-care tip that helped you through fertility treatment?
Not sure who needs to here this but
Your family's fertility narrative may not be yours
If they 'get pregnant looking at each other'
You may have a hard time
If your family has infertility and miscarriages
It doesn't mean you'll have the same
Don't make assumptionsβ€οΈ
POV from this fertility doctor
AMH does NOT predict fertility
It's best use is setting expectations for outcomes with stimulation for IVF, egg freezing
BUT
You can conceive & have a baby with a low AMH - work with a reproductive endocrinologist who can counsel you about YOUR personal situation
If you are 1 in 6, repeat after me..
Infertility is not my fault
Infertility is not my fault
Infertility is not my fault
πͺ Carry on. You've got this!

Not sure who needs to hear this today but:
That #miscarriage was not your fault
Don't diminish your own or someone else's infertility journey as
'not that bad'
Leave comparison out of infertility supportβ€οΈ

Not sure who needs to hear this but
Miscarriage is
-more common than you think
-most often an embryo issue
-not your fault
The vast majority of people who have miscarriages go on to have their family without intervention
Every pregnancy is a new opportunity

My daughter got into Georgetown today and I am one proud Mom!

If you have to choose one fertility test.. Choose a semen analysis : highest value test. Up to 50% male factor issue in couples with #infertility and cost typically <$200.00

Despite most fertility education, ovulation testing, and menstrual cycle apps claim a normal cycle length is 28 days,
2019 study showed only 13% of menstrual cycles are actually 28 days

πWhat did I miss?
Past fertility does not predict present fertility
Many will conceive easily the first time and when trying again delay seeking help because they are stuck in the narrative that getting pregnant is easy for them
Things change
Donβt waste time stuck
Seek testing and counseling
