SG focuses on young people because many of us struggled growing up as autistic young people, and we are really keen to ensure young people don't have to struggle as much as we do
SEND Advocacy is in a bad state. Parents and Carers are receiving poor services, then are threatened when they share their experiences.
So we have created a space to help you find a good advocate.

We are still early on, but we are seeing first hand the power of focusing on relationships and giving young people autonomy.
It is a steep learning curve and we still have so much to learn, but so far it has been pretty special. Here is some of the other things we have been up to.

We just started week 3 of our Self-Directed Learning Community!
The young people have made a comedy workbook that they are selling and the profit is going towards some gaming equipment.
Young people are working together to make a Roblox game. We have scripters, builders and 3D Modellers.

- I have faced huge struggles growing up as an autistic person and it is my life goal is to ensure as many young people as possible avoid the struggles I faced.

- As part of my role at SG, I run a Self-Directed Learning Community for young people who are recovering from autistic burnout.
- My special interests include autism, selective. reactive mutism (I am intentional about not using the term situational mutism - feel welcome to ask me about it!)
- I am currently leading on Barriers to Education; a collaborative project involving young people, parents/ carers and professionals in radically rewriting guidance for when young people struggling to attend school, as current guidance does not meet the needs of a lot of young people.
