The Highlander movie was hugely popular with drama students at my high school, and one of them convinced me to watch Highlander 2 with them. After it was over, they admitted they hadn't seen it and just assumed "it would be as good as the first one".

I was bitterly disappointed by F:NV, but that was because I made the mistake of pre-ordering the Special Edition from Best Buy and went it came in they gave me the regular edition. When I showed the receipt they said "Sorry, we don't have it" and refunded the difference.
Game was great, though!

Chaosium, IIRC, badly miscalculated on the CCG craze and it probably didn't help when they became known for not following through on paying writers.
