When I had my nose fixed (I broke it years earlier, playing cricket) I woke up with a sore chest. "That's where the surgeon knelt on your chest and hit your nose with a hammer and chisel". It's all rather agricultural!

Right from the off, the bass line is slightly, well, off.

I was supposed to spend yesterday in the passenger seat of my elder offspring's pink Fiat 500, practicing the driving test routes of Cambridge. But it was foggy, and she had a sneeze and cough, so I spent it playing tat instead. Coming to a wireless near you soon(ish).

First time I went for physio (because of a tight shoulder muscle) I rang the bell, she opened the door, and said "You have one leg shorter than the other. Hello, by the way." She started by pulling my leg (not in a comedy way).

Speaking of retro, I picked this up cheap the other day. A fatboy case, released in 2019.

It has only been three weeks but I miss it already. Largely because work has been such a 'mare since I got back.

I got a Dionne Warwick LP in there. The other Elizabeth Hospice shop up the road (two doors up from Black Olive) had a better selection of CDs, at last when I was there last. Although someone had stolen the CD from the case of Abba Gold.

It didn't get released here in Blighty, did it? They're one of those bands I heard about, but didn't actually hear for years.

Compared to my 7" of Airport, the LP sounds like it was recorded through a sock with someone frying bacon in the background. Which is, at 11 tracks per side, fair enough.

I nearly bought a copy of that yesterday, but it was scratched. So I splashed my pound on this horror instead.

Went to the opticians and had time on the parking for a quick spot of chazzaring. Everything a quid, apart from a minty Eureka, which was free in return for donating three Kenny G albums (and some other tat).

I love the Delgados and Emma Pollock - Paper and Glue from the same album is my fave. She's playing a pub in Cambridge in November but, being immunosuppressed, I don't really do indoor gigs in winter.

BTW: I picked her up because I'd been chazzaring for an hour beforehand - I'm not a total nutcase - and in her car because she needs the practice before her test in December.

I had yesterday off and picked Offspring the Elder up from work, rather than her take the bus home, thus sharing the limited air of her Fiat 500. At 9pm she announced a sore throat. I'm having my 'flu and Covid jabs on Saturday...

I have a battered copy from a 50p chazza bin. Not sure I'd call it 'decent' though.
