Real grenadine (at least post-Prohibition, when the general recipe changed) is made from pomegranate juice and sugar, with maybe some orange blossom water or pomegranate molasses for depth of flavor. Rose’s is basically artificial cherry flavoring and HFCS

Moxie is what would happen if you carbonated Angostura bitters. So, as a tiki bartender who’s also a big amaro fan, I love it

I’d say it’s about halfway between a ginger beer and a dandelion & burdock, with more sweetness than either (at least for the major supermarket varieties)
