I do not get invited to enough of these kinds of things to have known that, but thankfully the friend who invited me as his guest knew to tell me!

Last year I was invited to a dinner that said "informal dress" which I discovered meant suit and tie. Because formal dress would have been black or white tie.

Deeply sorry to hear of the death of Bishop Andrew, Bishop of Guildford.

Anyone who knew him even briefly would have seen his kindness and his optimism. More than once he reminded me, when I needed it, to have faith that God is good.

May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.
