It was definitely delicious. Stew just never photographs very well. Despite its tastiness and budget friendly existence…soups and stews just aren’t extremely photogenic foods.

They’re the humble workhorses of the food world!

I originally started using Duo to keep my French and Spanish skills lubricated…if you don’t use ‘em, you lose ‘em. Since then I’ve played around with several other languages. Most recently I’ve been doing the Duo chess and math programs.

Lots to learn on there.

2/2 It’s also impossible to make stew look photogenic. It’s like the humble DUFF (designated ugly fat friend) of comfort foods: there when you need her, not as pretty as the other girls, no style sense, always a cheap date, but the rest of the comfort foods rarely can hold a candle to her. A gem.

Someone on another social media site told me this looked like barf…but like, doesn’t ALL stew kind of look like barf? It’s like the least appetizing of all foods. That and oatmeal. 1/2 continued…

This is the exact way my brain made the connection as I stared at this plate while stopped at a light: “wait, that’s not for water? But it looks just like a life preserver or a Lifesaver…ohhhhh.😏That’s was clever.”

It’s a tasteful way to represent their organization. A noose would do the opposite.

My thoughts exactly: “Skip the lube, friend, let’s raw dog it today.”😆

I just discovered that the support plate for the Foundation for “Sewerslide” Prevention is NOT a support plate for lifeguards. 🤦‍♀️The plate has a life preserver on it. I always assumed it was a plate for something nautical w/o being able to read the print. I mean…am I wrong? #oursky

From what I hear, food content does well over here. Here’s a photo of the massive pot of Brunswick stew I made over Christmas. There wasn’t a regular sized stock pot at my parents’ house, so I opted for this gigantor. It’s the size pot they use to cook in institutions.😆 Leftovers galore! #oursky

My parents’ neighbors have two dogs, one of which is a crazy attack Pomeranian. I just walk past and the Pomeranians have multiplied. There were approximately 5 attack Pomeranians barking at me. Either Jeffree Star moved in or the attack Pom has family in town for Christmas. #oursky
