There's a lot of pro voice actors who unfortunately got their voices put into the machine, other companies put your faces on ads if you opt in, so I fear the worst with a lot of this stuff but I don't wanna spread misinformation. We gotta start reading the ToS more these days

‼️Quick Update: I’ve learned that the auto dub voices are generic and not using your data (YET). Realistically, it would be difficult and take years since there are millions of channels but I assumed based off of other opt out features. If more people leave an exit survey, it won’t be a possibilty!

Go to YouTube Studio and click on settings. Then scroll to Upload Defaults, click the second tab which is Advanced Settings. Scroll down to Automatic Dubbing and uncheck all boxes.

‼️ Here's how to disable these settings in YouTube Studio. Only doable on PC, not mobile

Viewers don't have the option to do this and it makes sure your audience doesn't have to toggle through the video languages

It's good you can opt out but it's just really unnecessary to add generated voices
