That's quite a common path, I think (my mum thought I might be gay, and couldn't understand why I liked girls).

The suggestion in the piece that gay kids are being forced to transition by mysterious people is, well, not evidence-based.

Pausing a vigorous roll of my lesbian eyes to ponder, not for the first time:

Where are all these people who are running around telling gay kids they might be a different gender? I've never seen one. Or heard of one.

This is "God's Not Dead" style batshit conspiracy-mongering.

we don't choose who we're going to fall in love with...it just happens to you. a happening. i like that. i also happen to think it's fairly rare. a person may have one in their lives, and some lucky few have more. treat your loves with respect, my friends, it's a feeling which may not come again.

The world is filled with ugliness.

But.

The world is overwhelmingly beautiful. And It is MORE beautiful with you in it.

Don’t let the ugliness win. Don’t let the self doubt win. Don’t let the dysphoria win. Don’t let the fascists win.

You deserve to live, and we’re lucky you’re here.

Albany Park, I love you so much

Many of Jaime Andrade’s newest signs have now been amended to make clear who purchased them (Draft Kings, under a newly formed PAC attempting to obscure themselves as the purchaser)

Even more so, because it actually is a government mouthpiece.

Which historically has been left alone most of the time by the government (ahem, Ireland, the Falklands, Iraq...) because they are secure in the knowledge that editorial control is in the hands of the Right Sort Of People.

For many people on the centre-right, the BBC is the Platonic ideal of "even-handed". It's perfect and unimpeachable.

It's one of the reasons its propaganda is so effective. Best state media in the world.

If a young girl begins to show early signs of puberty, she recommends taking the child to a pediatrician, and even a pediatric endocrinologist like herself and asking about puberty blockers.

While the drugs may have earned a bad reputation from serving as a center-point in the trans-debate, their original use was to limit precocious puberty, and the potential negative effects that come with it.
Their effects are not permanent, and once a child lets their blocking treatment lapse, puberty will just continue as normal.

This hypocrisy in the media is found across the whole spectrum of our healthcare.
