That's quite a common path, I think (my mum thought I might be gay, and couldn't understand why I liked girls).

The suggestion in the piece that gay kids are being forced to transition by mysterious people is, well, not evidence-based.

Pausing a vigorous roll of my lesbian eyes to ponder, not for the first time:

Where are all these people who are running around telling gay kids they might be a different gender? I've never seen one. Or heard of one.

This is "God's Not Dead" style batshit conspiracy-mongering.

we don't choose who we're going to fall in love with...it just happens to you. a happening. i like that. i also happen to think it's fairly rare. a person may have one in their lives, and some lucky few have more. treat your loves with respect, my friends, it's a feeling which may not come again.

Counterpoint: being able to play the whole neck is good, actually.

The world is filled with ugliness.

But.

The world is overwhelmingly beautiful. And It is MORE beautiful with you in it.

Their effects are not permanent, and once a child lets their blocking treatment lapse, puberty will just continue as normal.
