Reminiscent of The Handmaid's Tale, or a Trump presidency, with a focus on restricting language to control women (the author is a linguist).
Dark and dystopia gives away to slightly silly action in the last 3rd. A shame, as it turned a great book into a OK book.

An IPA with New Zealand hops from Slipstream in Queensland.
I had this on tap last year on the Gold Coast and enjoyed it much more. It was good in a can, but lacked the resin kick I got last time.

On a hot evening, this perfectly balanced hazy IPA went down a treat. Has that nice balance of sweet and bitterness that I crave in these hazy beers.

It's different to the show, not for better or worse, just more Chinese. And not in crucial ways.

A lighter, more understated red ale than what I normally seek out. Even the characteristic malt was subdued. Very pleasant though.
