In that light, I will be cancelling my Paramount Plus subscription, not watch any more CBS programming, and will likely boycott as many of their sponsors that I can. WE THE PEOPLE hold the real power of their purse strings, and it's time we use it. end/

It's too bad that shame does not work on people like them. Greed will always overpower conscience with weak-willed sycophants to the almighty dollar. By paying a bribe (an apt description) to twunt, they yield the voices of the press and of free speech to the will of a petulant child. 8/

But thanks to the cowardly and greedy actions of people like Sherry Redstone and the Paramount Board of Directors, CBS has become a toothless old hound. They are killing informational programming, first with their attempts to influence "60 Minutes" and now the cancellation of "LSSC." 7/

It also provided us with the most infamous news program that could always be trusted to point to heinous political and business policies, "60 Minutes," where newspersons like Mike Wallace, Dan Rather and Leslie Stahl could dissect and expose their outlandish practices that harmed Americans. 6/

CBS was once known as "The Tiffany Network," because of its programming and its infamous News Division, which gave prominence to Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite, who was known as the most trusted man in America. 5/

And that merger requires the FCC and FTC to approve it, two bodies run directly under the thumb of twunt. I cannot help but think that one of the other conditions that the two bodies demanded was the cancellation of Colbert. 4/

Less than 72 hours before, he specifically pointed out that Paramount, the current owners of CBS, provided twunt with a $16M bribe so they can merge the network to conservative Skydance Media, and people on the Paramount board, especially Sherry Redstone, its chair, could walk away with billions. 3/

LSSC had scored higher ratings than the other late night shows for the past quarter, and was the only show to INCREASE its ratings, primarily because of Colbert's sharp barbs pointed at the 🍊💩 and his "administration," essentially demolishing everything the twunt said and did. 2/

I've been steaming for the past 24 hours over how CBS decided to cancel "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (LSSC) and its rationale. 1/

It's time to acknowledge that deregulation has gone too far,that the über-wealthy have too much power, that campaign finance reform has to be written into the Constitution, and that white collar criminals, starting with tRUmp and E-lawn have to go to prison for their crimes.

Democrats need to stop being afraid to embrace Democratic Socialism, the same ideas that FDR, LBJ and Jimmy Carter embraced. The Dem leadership is stuck in the 1980s and 90s, when the "centrists" took over the party so Clinton could win in 1992.

The discovery process will be interesting.
