Yeah, if they had stopped there, I would have agreed with that person! Other than Jews of colour (who face oppression because of the latter half), Jews -aren't- oppressed to the degree or in the same ways as other minorities.

I work in a job funded by internet ad revenue and I find the quote really questionable in terms of accuracy anyway.

Almost certainly ad companies are requiring active and legitimate users and/or actual impressions instead of just paying basing on total registered accounts. That would be nuts.

I always found it curious that folks tend to talk about a disease's danger in a very binary death-risk framework, rather than considering other impacts on quality of life. Most people would find profound disability as scary as death, but society rarely talks about preventable health risks that way.

I also want to mention for anyone for whom this is relevant: I still very regularly see links on bluesky that list Twitter as the referrer in the URL. If people are using that data for tracking, it could me wildly skewed results.
