If anyone is wondering how small my province is, a large Osprey landed on a transformer line at a power substation and took out the power for over half the island.
A bird took us down for hours!!

One year ago today, i had OHS for CABGx3. I was scared to say the least. But being here now one year later, feeling better then i did for years, it was all worth it. ❤️

Its hot, but was cool early and I felt i needed a sweet treat so chocolate cherry bundt cake baked early this morning.😋

I didn't get a chance to see the concert, but I am glad she stayed to enjoy the Island.

Im excited that I'll have time to watch more and enjoy this summer.

My sister just finished her radiation and now we wait a month to start chemo.
My brother starts his radiation next week.
Im so tired and im not the one sick this time.

Never rains but it pours..
My brother just found out he has prostate cancer.
Surgery and radiation.
This week absolutely sucks.

My other sister passed away in 2006, she did 3 rounds of chemo and they said it wasn't helping so it ended. She was so sick and depressed she had no quality of life and died a few months later.
She said she'd never have done the chemo if she'd known how bad she'd get after.

I do too. If its palliative chemo its not worth it to me, but its her decision.

I have been taking time for myself and hoping her kids step up and do the right thing, but this generation isnt built like us. I'm not sure her 21 or old daughter is even grasping the situation.

Thank you. I am just beside myself, finally I start to feel good and have the energy and stamina to live and enjoy life and it knocks her down.

The Dr will meet with us on Monday after her last radiation. He mentioned chemo also. It's all about her comfort now.

Been trying to wrap my head around this news
My sister started radiation therapy yesterday, she will do 5 sessions in 5 days.
The original tumor started in her lung and has metastasized to her spine.
We are at stage 5.

My 10th grade English teacher, scolded me and told me ain't is not a word and I needed to learn proper English. I produced a dictionary from the school library and showed her the word ain't and well we had a love/hate relationship after that 🤣
