If there's going to be this whole development thing with Alastor, it means Lucifer is sticking around for a long time at least.

For me, the vivz vid talking about lucifer and alastors relationship is such a big relief, but not ship wise in this case

I've been so worried that since Lu is so powerful, they'd kill him off this season and such to add easy stakes in the show without him there to fix things

Rather than something big to showcase a serious change, we get that his scene is...not doing anything. Like the writers are scared to make him commit any worse crime. People had so many fascinating backstories for him. Really disappointing.
