If you have a disability or reduced mobility, you have the right to travel like anybody else. By plane, you have the right to: - Assistance with your luggage - Assistance with getting on and off the plane - Free transport of your recognised assistance dog, medical equipment and 2 pieces of mobility equipment. Ask for assistance at least 48 hours before your trip. By train, you have the right to: - Assistance with getting on and off the train and transferring to a connecting train service - Assistance on board and at the station before and after your journey Ask for assistance at least 24 hours before your trip. By bus or coach, you have the right to: - Assistance at designated terminals - Assistance with getting on and off the bus or coach - A person of your choice to travel with you free of charge By ship, you have the right to: - Assistance with getting on or off a ship Assistance on-board and at the port - A person of your choice to travel with you free of charge

We are at the #AccessibleEU event celebrating the European #AccessibilityAct.
The Act is an important step. But we need more:
- Enforcement of the Act and efforts of businesses are essential to make it a reality.
- EU funding for disability inclusion must be strengthened in the next #EUBudget.
European Semester 2025: Spring Package. The European Commission sends a clear message to Member States on Disability Rights: time to take responsibility and act!
The @ec.europa.eu #EuropeanSemester Spring Package is out, and it puts #DisabilityRights issues at the forefront!
In its reports, the Commission calls on Member States to make progress on:

- Poverty and exclusion
