In Georgia it’s really starting to feel like the protest is gaining momentum. Today’s massive rally in Tbilisi has overwhelmed the police, and demonstrations are spreading nationwide. With Monday approaching, it’s hard to see state-run institutions operating as usual.

Georgia's PM Irakli Kobakhidze's announcement today to suspend EU accession talks until 2028 contradicts the longstanding support of previous leaders for EU integration and the desires of around 80% of the population who want EU membership. President Zourabichvili joined the protests.
