Good morning to everyone who hasn’t had a proper night’s sleep since 2016.

I hope your coffee is as strong as your resolve. β˜•οΈ

A Democrat just flipped a πŸ”΄ Arkansas state house seat - and it wasn’t close.

Alex Holladay ran in 2024 and lost by two points.

He just won by … 27. In Arkansas.

Run everywhere, friends. Run everywhere. πŸ’™

β€œSome folks are born made to wave the flag
Hoo, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays β€˜Hail to the chief’
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no furtunate one, no”

The 37-hour bombing campaign of Iran in June cost an estimated $2.25 billion total.

We really just wanted healthcare.

He ran on stopping wars and decreasing prices and releasing files.

He’s started wars, increased prices, and hidden files.

He commits impeachable offenses daily. If not hourly.

Impeach, remove.

The sun is up earlier, my crocuses are blooming, it’s going to be 70 degrees today, and my feed is full of πŸ’™ running in πŸ”΄ places.

Feels like the end of a lot of things. And the beginning of something amazing.

Let’s get after it, friends. ✨

Exactly! It makes sense for so many reasons. πŸ’™

It’s being honest.

It’s being honest about the actual cost of progress, and shouldering that cost together.

β€œRugged independence” is a myth rooted in the unpaid labor of caretakers (typically women).

That’s why β€œAffordability” means universal healthcare, universal childcare, universal elder care, and universal education.

That’s not β€œdreaming too big.” 1/2

Yeah, a refund would be nice.

But I’d rather have accountability.

Do you know what β€œwhen they go low we go high” is really supposed to mean?

That when they commit crimes we hold them accountable.

As we lose our collective patience with fascists & mean people, worth remembering:

Kind people don’t feel obliged to be nice to unkind people.

NOT being nice to unkind people is actually being nice to the rest of us.

Anyway, I like to say β€œf@ck πŸ§Šβ€ with a smile just to drive the point home.

That community founded on shared values can be built with literal strangers on a random Friday night - even in a red state.

And that there are so many ways to speak out, stand up, and be heard.

Let’s get loud, friends. πŸ’™πŸŽΆ

Everyone I could see was smiling.

Musicians and comics and writers and audience members from who knows where - all singing our hearts out for justice and democracy.

It was such a simple thing, but so meaningful.

It was great to remember that beautiful moments like that still happen. 2/

I live in a blue area of a red state.

On Friday night I went to a local open mic night. The first performance wasn’t a song so much as a lesson.

Kathy decided to teach us a protest song from Justice Choir.

We learned it line by line. And then we all sang it together. Gave me chills. 1/

Well, for starters, Eric is from the suburbs. Which is maybe why he doesn’t know how to wear cowboy boots…

Even knowing everything I know, seeing this laid out so simply is breathtaking.

This administration isn’t knee deep in this. It’s waist-deep.

New life hack. Now when I’m fussy that I can’t sleep I just remember that I’m not alone.

Because somewhere out there is a panicked member of the Epstein Class who is tossing and turning, watching his world burn in real time.

Cheers me right up.

β€œToo big to fail” was disastrous when applied to corporations.

It’s monstrous if applied to literal criminals.

Hold every last one accountable.

Every. Last. One.

Good morning to everyone who is waking up grateful to Bad Bunny and outspoken Olympic athletes for showing the world that America is not all red hats and red ties.

It feels good to be proud.

This was a hold - a blue seat in a district that Trump won in β€˜24, so the best opportunity for the GOP to grab a seat. So it’s a massive overperformance even if the result isn’t an upset.

Massive Dem enthusiasm is clear!

Last night in Louisiana, Democrats held a state leg seat in a district *Trump* won by 13 points in 2024.

And it wasn’t close.

Last weekend it was Taylor in Texas. This week Chasity in Louisiana.

Let’s go, friends. LFG. πŸ’™

There are likely additional layers of criming…

05.02.2026 19:12 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

When they say theirs is the most transparent administration in history, they’re not actually wrong.

They aren’t hiding the criming.

The fraud and the grift are out in the open for all to see.

The first male reporter who follows up one of Trump’s misogynistic rants with a deluge of questions about why he would disparage a member of the press corps like that will get a standing ovation from American women.

He gives you opportunities all the time. Take the next one.
