Check on your emotionally reserved friends. A lot of us don't express distress openly and many people mistake that for invulnerability or hypercompetence. I find that especially true among trans people.

I really want to push back on the idea that people who flee the state where they live because of anti-trans laws are privileged because they were able to leave these are fucking refugees they are internally displaced people I have seen some of the most broke people
