11/ if you want to see more of that exhibit we did a little documentary about it : https://youtu.be/wk6iFZEHDGA
19.04.2023 14:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 010/ I'm like watching myself react to destroying my art.
Over the years I let people walk over it, cut it, burned it, my most recent project is hanging art on a tree for a year to see what nature will do to it.
With the rise of Ai, Iโm feeling more and more comfortable going into wild experiments.
9/Watching you do this changes me - an artist. it made me - an artist think deeper about what art is to me. What can I do with it? What you felt while standing on it. It made me question
It inspired me.
That one month of exhibit experience made me grow as an artist. Taught me to let go of things.
8/Experiencing this both for the artist and for the viewers is powerful.
You know the painting underneath your feet is reflection of artistโa soul. You stand on it. You walk on it. You slowly destroying it.
It is like economy on artist. It is metaphor for an artists' life in current society.
7/ To this day I never went to any other exhibits where the floors were covered with not just prints, but an actual hand-drawn paintings.
Watching the slow distraction of something you work hard on for a long time and getting no monetary compensation for it in return is a form of meditation.
6/ At the time I didnโt realize or even try to analyze what was I doing.
Years later, looking back I see in it my first attempt to show how we shouldn't get attached to anything.
My early attempts to play with my art beyond only painting.
Letting viewers interact with it on a deeper level
