High rates of fire, usually theoretically based on a short term performance ignores the increased barrel wear which this causes. The famous 75 for example from the Great War could never keep its reputed high rate for long. Loss to barrel wear was higher than those destroyed by the Germans in 1914.

She was deported to #Auschwitz from Theresienstadt Ghetto on 15 May 1944. She did not survive.

I also just finished it recently and I was also hoping to use excerpts from this as an educational example to my students next year! It's such a great book and very moving. Hopefully I do it justice and get my kids excited to study history too.
