Pragmatically anarchists are walking towards anarchy (as Malatesta said), instead of a matter of attaining anarchy in 10, 100, 10,000 years. Bertrand Russell had the courtesy of not portraying the anarchists as bomb-throwing teenagers, maybe we should learn from him.

I think it's best if we don't deal with flimsy caricatures. It's a bit astonishing how aspiring "Stoics" dislike the caricatures against them, yet for some reason when it comes to talking about out-groups, they don't have the courtesy to do the same thing.

I wonder if you treat communism the same way critics of Stoicism treats Stoicism, i.e. based on ignorance in what it is.

That makes as much sense as saying that Stoicism is an affront to Zeno's philosophy because it demands virtue as an all-or-nothing thing as opposed to being a matter of degree as conceived by the Aristotelian.

The best we can is being progressors i.e. progressing *towards* virtue.
