Under that pressure you begin to hate yourself because of your apparent inability to fit in. No matter what you do, people who don't know you, insist you don't belong, but can't give you any other options. Do you think maybe being constantly gaslighted like that would affect your mental health?

Consider that instead of a gender/sex assigned at birth, you're just given a list of things people expect you to like, and guidelines for how you should act outside of following the rules. Every time you push back or say, "No, I don't like this," everyone around you tells you how wrong you are.

If you're struggling with the concept of basic empathy, I can't really help you, but, if you're someone who really just has never had to consider their own gender identity and is confused or even disturbed by the fact that some people just are transgender, I would ask that you take gender out of it.

Turns out, I've always been this way.

Look... I'm not saying JD Vance was directly involved in the death of Pope Francis. All I'm saying is that I understand how meeting JD Vance could lead someone to lose the will to live.

It doesn't matter how rabid/demanding a fanbase is. That does not give them ownership of the art. When an artist chooses to create, when they choose to give a piece of themselves, they are inviting you to share in that. There is no obligation. Go live your own lives. The entitlement is gross.
