I was able to capture the total lunar eclipse as it came in to view at around 7:30pm (AWST) in Albany, Western Australia. The clouds made it troublesome, which is typical for the Great Southern. But every now and then the moon peeked through.

This was the best we could see the #AuroraAustralis this evening in #Albany, #WesternAustralia (*grumbling* ... damn clouds). Taken from Emu Point at approx. 8:48pm on 20th January. Beams could be seen with the naked eye with a pale pink sky in parts.

A photo from November 2018. This bolt of lightning happened shortly before another bolt went right over the top of my head. I moved quicker than Speedy Gonzales that night. Standing on the top of a hill wasn't the brightest move. But I got a great shot, damn it!! 🙃

Happy New Years! We had some lovely fireworks here in Albany. I wasn't going to go, but my son talked me in to it. I'm glad I went. The explosions were also ricocheting off the mountains. Sounded pretty cool. The fireworks also set off a few of car alarms. 😂

I'm not sure if I should be angry or flattered about this. 🤔
A member on a photography page I belong to alerted me there were 3 posts, from 3 different individuals, passing off my aurora photo as their own. The thieves were stupid enough to leave my watermark on, and copy/pasted my description!🙄
