I believe that was his nanny. Unless his housekeeper was named "Nanny". Hmmm...
I loved this show. And the later Captain Star, voiced by Richard E. Grant.
I like what you did with cutting out sections and sewing them back in. I'm also following along with Dephemerember. I'm subscribed to 49dragonflies but unsubbed from Luise, she's a great artist but just too long-winded these days.
25.12.2025 07:00 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm much more likely to participate if I have no/little notice beforehand, otherwise I'll just figure out a reason I can't go. All of this depends on the event particulars, of course.

Christmas ornaments I made last year, also upcycled from toilet paper rolls.

A scattering of hand-made Christmas tree decorations on a green cutting mat. To the left are two sizes of Christmas stockings cut from toilet roll cardboard and covered in book pages, then stamped with red Christmas motifs. To the right are clusters of scrolls made with book pages, then wired together with random Christmassy decorations. A pair of white wooden snowflakes are at the bottom right.
Been making small Christmas tree ornaments using recycled materials (book pages and toilet roll cardboard).

Ah good, there are two of us.

A snapshot of one shelf in my den of curiosities, featuring a collection of amber glassware, clear glassware, a set of shark jaws, a leather-covered bottle, a lamp made of a white crystal, a candle holder, and a set of clam shells.

I waited till 11pm this week and the neighbour across the street was outside giving his dogs a potty break. Oh, the internal swearing!

I finally decided to watch the 1959 The Twilight Zone series for the first time. I watched "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street" episode last night so I know exactly what you're talking about.

Two views of a fairy ring encountered in 2024. I keep checking but so far it hasn't reappeared.

It's been really dry here lately so not much fungal growth to be found.

Deep beneath your feet, two enormous blobs (technically known as BLOBs) sit at the top of Earth's core. They may be remnants of a protoplanet that collided with ours 4.5 billion years ago.
New evidence suggests they're still linked to volcanic eruptions today. ๐งช๐ญ

A few views of a tree stump well encrusted with bracket fungi. Sorry about the terrible pics.
I watch Natasha's videos too. Her style/taste is definitely not mine (prefer grunge/neutral/steampunk) but she has loads of great ideas. Check out BohemianCrafting if you haven't already, for more inventive ephemera and processes.

A #CabinetOfCuriosities doesn't need to fill a room to be interesting. Seen here is a cloche filled with marine items - lobster claw, various shells and seaweeds, a sand dollar, a sea urchin shell, a stone with barnacles, and a mermaid's purse.
Nice work.

Today's #WunderkammerWednesday delves into the macabre practice of animal taxidermy, with this mounted specimen of the Goliath birdeater tarantula, late of the Dominican Republic. This is a smaller specimen with the body at 6cm long, and legs diagonally 15cm tip to tip.

A bit of whimsy from the old #CabinetofCuriosities for this week's #WunderkammerWednesday -- look away those of you with delicate constitutions!
Here is presented a vial reportedly containing dried merman sperm, method of collection unknown but no doubt a mind-boggling feat.
